This is Wal-Mart’s Hurricane Distribution Center’s sixth year participating with a team in the Mini Indy. The Wal-Mart Team will be represented by associates from the 1.1 million square foot Distribution Center that employs more than 600 associates and services over 575 stores in the Western United States. In Utah, Wal-Mart currently operates 34 Supercenters, 2 Discount Stores, 5 Neighborhood Markets, 8 Sam’s Clubs and 3 Distribution Centers.

At Wal-Mart, they believe in a philosophy of operating globally and giving back locally. They’re proud to aide in communities they serve by helping to provide financial and volunteer support to charitable and community-focused organizations. In 2008 Utah Wal-Mart Stores, Sam’s Clubs, and Distributions Centers, gave more than $ 7.1 million cash and in-kind donations to Non-Profit Organizations throughout the state. They appreciate being part of and giving back to the communities they live and work in to help people save money so they can live better.
